Who are you?
I’m a lot of things, a passionate creative person, a professional , a wife, but most of all I’m someone who, like a lot of people, is constantly striving to improve, to handle everything life throws at me, and to find a balance in life. As for details… read the blog!
What is your weight loss story?
I’ve been overweight since I was about 12. The fat girl in high school, you know the story. At 28 years old, I lost 98lbs and it changed my life. I lost it through diet and exercise, on . It took me over a year and a half, and has been a wild ride! Sometimes easy, sometimes hard, and sometimes it’s all in my head, but this adventure has been well worth the effort.
Why write about it?
It’s catching! The people around you catch the spirit of what you’re doing, and your excitement, and they start to change their lives and get healthier too! I’ve been lucky enough to inspire several people, (including my own husband who lost 50lbs!) and it’s been so wonderful! Also, I spend a lot of time thinking about all of these issues, and I not only want to share what I learn, but get your opinions and feedback too, it’s so much easier to keep going with support!
What do you like to write about the most?
Food, recipes, I love to cook, it’s like a Zen, calming thing for me. I know a lot of people think cooking is just one more thing to do, but it’s how I wind down and relax.
Why do you use so many exclamation points when you write?
I think I have exclamatory disorder, verging on perkiness overload. It’s an issue.
